I am proud to be Principal Delegate at this ambitious new provision and excited to be working with a dedicated and experienced team of staff to deliver the highest possible standards of education and experience for the Hill View learners that will join us in September 2024.
As soon as the building is completed, towards the end of March, we look forward to welcoming visitors to have a look around. It will also give us an opportunity to share our vision and the opportunities ahead.

At Hillview school, we are committed to helping each learner achieve their full potential, regardless of the challenges they may face. We understand that many of our learners have communication, social, emotional and mental health (SLCN/SEMH) needs that require additional support and guidance. We have designed our values around staying safe, being respectful and learning more. Key values that will benefit learners as they prepare for adulthood and transition into their local and wider communities. In addition, we go deeper and consider research around self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills.
Our values can be distilled into three overarching principles:
Transforming lives

The Oak Partnership Multi Academy Trust was formed on 1 January 2019. Its founder member schools are three primary schools (Blackbrook Community Primary School, Ruishton CofE Primary School and West Monkton CofE Primary School) and one all-through Special School (Selworthy Special School). All four schools were inspected by Ofsted in 2018 and were rated Good.
In total the trust accommodates over 1000 learners.
The region in which The Oak Partnership is located is at the heart of one of the biggest and fastest growing housing developments in the South West, located along the M5 corridor. There are pockets of high deprivation within these catchments and the Trust recognises challenge of encouraging aspiration amongst all within its community. It hopes to be a catalyst for higher standards and improved outcomes for all its learners, therefore enhancing life chances and social mobility throughout the region.
